Ron’s 35-year career included 20+ years in tech consulting for Private Equity, Startup and Fortune 500 companies. Ron’s been a Fortune 100 C-Level tech operator twice, in CTO and CIO roles for two large ($65B and $18B revenue) regulated businesses. In these roles Ron was a Cyber Security leader multiple times.

Ron has consulted and held fractional CIO/CTO roles for companies of startup size to multi-billion dollars in revenue. Ron’s technology range makes him credible at all altitudes - from Board and Executive Committees to rolling up his sleeves with engineering squads, AI architects and tech operations teams.

In July 2025 Ron announced he’d retire from his corporate career at the end 2025. Ron now advises independently through Ron Kim Advisory.
